History of IBUKI KOGYO CO.,LTD
Our business started the production of an electrical appliance, electric dynamometer, selsyn motor, AC/DC electric motor, switchboard and distribution board etc. On 1926, motor siren was one of core product supplied for flight base, time signals, air-raid alarm and emergency alarm. At the same time we started to manufacture a motor siren, steam horn and air horn for a ferryboat, warship and even some oil/chemical plant.
Since 1945, we focused on the production of whistle system, general alarm system and automatic fog signal controller for merchant ship and warship all over the world.
IBUKI knowledge and technology accumulate about acoustic performance for safety navigation at sea. As a leading marine signal supplier, we innovate high efficiency equipment and system which conduct the vessel on safety way.

•Developed a steam horn granted a subsidy from the Japanese Ministry of Transport |
1966 |
•Trial product of marine large size horn requested by Japanese Marine equipment association, successfully developed the piston horn. |
1973 |
•Successfully produced the flashing light to be installed on vessel according to the revision of marine transport safety rules. |
1975 |
•Successfully produced the marine electrical circuit apparatus made of synthetic resins aimed at rational parts and light weight for vessel. |
1976 |
•Produce the maneuvering light demanded on Colreg 1972. |
1977 |
•Along with the revision of Colreg,all class and type of horn,flashing light and maneuvering light acquired the type approval of the Japanese Ministry of Transport,England,Norway and the Netherlands. •Produced the Electronic Navigation Alarm (ENA100) for marine alarm. |
1979 |
•Acquired the type approval of USSG and Denmark. •Successfully produced the high efficient electric horn for small ship (Patented from Japan,U.K.,U.S.A.,Germany and other three countries.) |
1980 |
•Acquired the type approval of Germany. •Renewal the Tokyo branch as a permanent office. •Successfully produced the high efficient magnet horn for middle ship (Patented from Japan,U.K.,U.S.A. and Germany.) |
1981 |
•Successfully produced a horn for use in the severe cold area. |
1982 |
•Successfully developed a semi-submersible small ship. •Successfully produced the drink apparatus for draft beer. |
1983 |
•Successfully produced the high efficient magnet horn E90 on class IV for small ship (Patented on Japan,U.K.,U.S.A.,France,Germany and other four countries.) |
1985 |
•Successfully produced the high efficient electric horn E85 for small ship. |
1986 |
•Successfully produced the canopy light and indoor light for lifeboat demanded on IMO rules. |
1990 |
•Acquired the CE mark for the horn and auto fog signal controller. •Acquired the DOT type approval of auto fog bell and gong system. |
1998 |
•Acquired the type approval of the renewal acoustic chamber from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. (Ex the Ministry of Transport). •Successfully produced the new model air horn (A200ES-B,A200ESH-B) for the huge vessel and acquired the type approval of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. (Ex the Ministry of Transport). |
1999 |
•Acquired the type approval of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport(Ex the Ministry of Transport) for a new build optical chamber. •Acquired the type approval of U.K. for the air horn (A200ES-B,A200ESH-B). •Acquired the BSH type approval from Germany for the Auto fog bell and gong system. •Successfully produced the drink apparatus for draft beer. 2000 |
•Successfully produced the sound reception system,and acquired the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. (Ex the Ministry of Transport) (Patented in Japan,CE Mark acquired in 2005) •Successfully produced the electronic horn on whistle class III which acquired from the Ex the Ministry of Transport. |
2001 |
•Under design of New model Piston horn on whistle class I and II. •Produced the new model inboard electronic alarm buzzer and bell. |
2002 |
•Sucessfully produced the compact controller for whistle system. The first controller was adopted on the cruise ship built in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.Acquired the CE mark on 2003. •Successfully produced the apparatus of the air conditioning fan for a large building. |
2003 |
•Developed the new model electronic horn (ES15) complied to the revision of rules on whistle class IV vessel which was acquired the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. |
2004 |
•Successfully produced the Ex-proof indicator column. •Installed the simple model of auto fog bell and gong system on Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kobe Shipyard. •Achieved the electronic alarm apparatus miniaturized, EA113S electronic alarm supplied to Sumitomo Heavy Industries Marine & Engineering Co.,Ltd. , Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co.,Ltd. , IHI Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. |
2005 |
•Started to produce the new electronic bell EB300 series. Acquired the CE mark on 2005. |
2006 |
•Started to sell the new electronic bell MA300 series. |
2007 |
•Developed the heel indicator LED sourced and started to sell on February,2007. •Started to sell the in/out board speakers Marine tone series for Public address and supplied to Mitsui Engineering & shipbuilding Co.,Ltd. Tamano and Universal Shipbuilding Corporation.,Keihin •Successfully produced the new model air horn (A180) for the whistle class II vessel length 75-200m and acquired the type approval of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. |
